This Blue Whale Game is getting into headlines because of its adverse effects.It is a game with series of Challenges that eventually leave the kid or the person who plays it with addiction to commit suicide.Now Indian government has created an awareness and has requested popular social media sites like Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram and huge search giant Google to remove all the advertisement links that lead to the game to that game.
This game asks the player to upload different photos after completing the challenge like, Pricking onself, tearing the skin and many more.On 11th of August, the Union ministry for Electronics and IT wrote a letter to all of the leading platforms saying - ' There are many Instances of children committing suicide just because of the game Blue Whale Challenge have been reported in India...You are hereby requested to blocked that any such link of this deadly game Blue whale in its own name or similar game is immediately removed from your platform.'
Many suicide deaths relating to Blue Whale Challenge were reported in Mumbai and West Midnapore district.
