Police arrested the famous owners of two famous cafes, including the most famous cafe Curlies on Tuesday .The police arrested them after carrying out suspense raids during which they found drugs and narcotics from waiters and several guests.
Chandan Choudhary, superintendent of Police in the zone of North Goa has confirmed the arrests the owners Edwin Nunes, , and Rohan Shetty. Club Nyex and Curlies are popularly known as beach shacks, are at the Anjuna beach village, which is at 20 km from Panaji.
“They have been arrested under section 25 of the Narcotics, Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act,” said Choudhary. According to Choudhary, waiters working at Curlies were found with drugs in their possession.
Three tourists from Bengaluru were also found in possession of drugs and have been booked.
