Sources from Nandyal have stated that the actor cum politician Nandamuri Balakrishna is fast turning out to be a huge embarrassment for the ruling TDP. Earlier on Thursday, he slapped a fan when the latter tried to garland him. Also, he was caught distributing money to the voters while participating in the poll campaign in the poll bound Nandyal Assembly constituency. This was done in full public view.
Currently photos and video clippings of Balakrishna distributing money to the voters in Nandyal by Balakrishna have gone viral on the social media and were also telecasted in several TV news channels. The YSR Congress Party has already demanded that the Election Commission stop Balakrishna's poll campaign for violating the election code. The opposition party will also meet EC officials and submit all the evidence of Balakrishna distributing money.
According to sources the ruling party is also reported to be distributing money to the people to keep them away from participating in YS Jagan's road shows and public meetings. Police officials remained mute spectators and did not take any action against the TDP leaders despite the YSRCP lodging several complaints.
