O Panneerselvam today on Monday took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after the two factions merged today. Governor Vidhyasagar Rao who came and administered the oath of office amongst  a host of ministers including Mafoi Pandiarajan.Our honourable  Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated O Panneerselvam and  other members  who along  took oath of office on today .

O Panneerselvam  is offered the main portfolio Finance minister of Tamil Nadu while his rebel  Edappadi Palanisamy will remain and continue as the Chief Minister.The duo together  later addressed a press conference to speak about the merge . Added to the minister OPS is the  coordinator of AIADMK. The leaders together said that reclaiming the AIADMK the popular two leaf  symbol was their first mission as a united party.

A 'guiding committee' of a total of 11 members was also announced at the joint press conference. At the meeting  no mention of Sasikala Natarajan's sideline was made
