Hyderabad sources have stated that the state government declared 15 days Dasara holidays for all educational institutions from September 20 to October 4. Sources have stated that Bathukamma festival begins on September 20 and concludes on September 28 and Dasara festival falls on September 30.
According to sources all government, aided and unaided schools will be closed on account of Bathukamma and Dasara festivals. The schools will be re-opened on October 5, according to a government notification from Hyderabad on Saturday.
Furthermore it was stated that for Christmas, the government has declared holidays for schools from December 24 to 28, and for 2018 Sankranti schools will be closed from January 12 to 16. Moreover they had government issued strict instructions to schools to observe the holiday schedule.
