The Hyderabad police have said they suspect that a 25-year-old aspiring doctor murdered just because she failed to get an MBBS seat.Her husband and her mother together have been putting pressure on her to crack the exams.This year she cleared the BDS but failed to qualify the MBBS general medicine.Irked with this her husband killed her.
Rushi Kumar, the woman's husband, called Harika's(killed daughter) mother on Sunday night and told her that she had commited suicide and set herself on fire, the police said. This shocking incident took place in LB Nagar's Rock Town Colony near Hyderabad.
"Harika's husband claims she committed suicide by sting fire on her , but after we visited and probed the scene, it appears to be a murder. We suspect that the husband killed his wife," ACP (LB Nagar division) Venugopala Rao said.

Mr Rao said the exact way of her death is yet to be known.Police suspect that she could have been strangled and killed. The report is awaited and investigations are on, he said.
