Chennai sources have stated that Kamal Haasan made it clear that he is interested in the lead role in Tamilnadu politics that of chief minister. Stressing on the need for change, he said in an interview "First people have to change. And when the voters are ready next time, they first have to be honest if they want an honest man at the top."
Meanwhile when asked if he was ready to take the
plunge, Kamal Haasan said "He will if it is required." What form his party
will take and he is not sure but will launch his party and is asking for people
to help him do that”.
The comments came hours after his his lunch meeting with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal after which the two of them said at a press conference that they would together fight corruption and communism. Moreover Mr. Kejriwal said Kamal Haasan should join politics, and that he was one of the rare people who had the courage to "stick their neck out against communal forces". "His color is definitely not saffron and that much he can say now”.
