Hyderabad sources have reported that moderate to heavy rain lashed several parts of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on Monday afternoon bringing life to a standstill. According to sources the Indian Meteorological Department predicted that the rains are going to lash Telugu states for another five days.
Meanwhile the continuous downpour threw the traffic out of gear at different locations in the city. Areas like Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Mehdipatnam, Hitech City, SR Nagar, Neredmet, Tarnaka, Uppal and several areas in Secunderabad soaked in heavy rain.
Sources have stated that several localities in the city were inundated due
to flood water. Metro Rail works were suspended at all the locations. Traffic
is moving at a snail's pace at Kukatpally, Miyapur along the Lingapally and
BHEL stretch.
