Hyderabad sources have stated that Naresh Patwari, an IIT Mumbai professor from Telangana has been awarded with the prestigious Shanthi Swarup Bhatnakar Award. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIR) announced the award. According to sources Naresh got the award for his work in chemical sciences.



Sources have stated that the award winners will get a cash prize of Rs5 lakhs and monthly pension of Rs15,000 till they turn 65. Meanwhile a total of 10 scientists across the country were selected for the award this year. Every year 8-10 scientists, below 45, are selected by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research for their outstanding scientific work in the last five years.

Furthermore Patwari has done B.Sc from OU, M.Sc from the University of Hyderabad and Ph.D from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
