Minister Kadambur Raju confirmed that no relaxation would be given to Entertainment Tax as the price of tickets was hiked just now. Tamil Nadu Government increased the price of tickets by 25% last week.
However, theater owners and cinema industry people requested the government that hiking the cost of tickets by 25% is not enough for them, and they demanded to relax Entertainment tax. From today onwards all theaters will demand the higher cost of tickets.
In this case, today Vishal and other members of Tamil Nadu Producer's council have decided to meet Chief Minister EPS with respect to relaxation in Entertainment Tax. But even before they meet Chief Minister, Minister Kadambur Raju has confessed that there are no secondary talks about relaxing Entertainment Tax. But our Government is all ears when they needed to discuss the price of tickets.
