Sources from Hyderabad have stated that accepting the Telangana government's request, Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed that he will inaugurate the first phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project on November 28. Meanwhile a message to this effect was conveyed to the Telangana Chief Minister's office (CMO) on Saturday and a formal letter from the Prime Minister's Office intimating the same will be delivered today.



Moreover the PMO confirmed the appointment after receiving a report from the Union Urban Development Ministry. A team of officials had inspected the project in Hyderabad and gave the green signal for the inauguration by the PM. According to sources Modi will inaugurate a 30km stretch of the metro rail project from Nagole to Miyapur on November 28. While 17km of this will be from Nagole to Ameerpet on Corridor III, the remaining 13km will be from Ameerpet to Miyapur on Corridor I. This 30 km metro rail stretch covers one of the most congested arterial roads of Hyderabad.

According to sources the PM will also inaugurate the Global Entrepreneurship Summit slated to be held in Hyderabad from November 28 to 31. Several Union Ministers will participate in the summit.
