Famous Online Fashion retailer Myntra will help weavers to increase the demand for the handloom products across the country. The CEO of Myntra and Jabong, Mr.Ananth Narayanan said, "This programme is committed towards the growing Handloom sector.
And we will provide all assistance to the weavers and get the maximum support from all likeminded brands for the better cause." Initially, Myntra will reveal a new handloom brand called 'The Tech Threads' on an annual brand summit on November 2nd at Bengaluru.
Smriti Irani will be revealing this brand and this would revive the Indian crafts. Right now, 49 fashion brands have associated themselves with Myntra and among them, the notable ones are Biba, Peter England, Chennai Silks. Myntra also works directly with the weavers from Kamatagi, a rural village in Karnataka.
