Some improved facilities will be seen by the devotees this season at the Sabarimala temple. A newly built hospital with all current facilities, a dining hall which can accommodate 5000 people at a time, some intense security measures are the notable features.
The new season is about to begin this Thursday and there would be lots of devotees coming to the temple. The opening of doors of the sanctum sanctorum will coincide with the first day of the Malayalam month of 'Vrishickam'. The most awaited moment, 'Makaravilaku' will take place on January 14, 2018.
The state minister Mr.Surendran said, "The officials have made everything ready for the devotees to have a smooth pilgrimage. We have set up a new state-of-the-art hospital inside the temple premises. We also have added more water treatment plans for drinking water and the facilities in the dining hall also were improved where we can fill 5000 people at a time.
The number of cops on the duty also is increased to 1500. We also ensured that we make an adequate supply of 'Appam and Payasam'.
