Hyderabad sources have made a statement that the Hyderabad Metro Rail which is being well-received by the people will is anticipated to be extended upto the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad.
Meanwhile when replying to a compliment by a Metro passenger, state IT minister KT Rama Rao tweeted that currently plans are afoot to extend the Metro Rail up to the airport. "Phase 2 for another 80 plus kilometres in the planning stages," he tweeted. He said however, priority will be given to first complete the project in the city and then extend it to the airport.
