There is some big time trouble brewing across Indo-Pak border. Pakistan army has been firing intensely across several posts across Line of Control in Kashmir for the past few weeks. But things seem to be growing tense with the latest reports that the Kargil sector has once again been targeted.

The ceasefire which has been in effect for the last ten years is now under threat and if national media reports are to be believed, then Pakistan opening has resorted to heavy shelling and attacked Kargil and Dras sectors in Ladakh Division of  J & K state for the first time after Kargil war of 1999.

Till now the firings were seen as sporadic events but Pakistan eventually opening fire in the relatively calm and strategic border areas of Kargil is being seen differently by defense analysts as part of a larger strategy. Indian army is reportedly on a state of high alert!
