The bond between Reliance industries and Chandrababu Naidu’s family seems to be growing off late. It is a known fact that there was a cold war between YSR and Reliance industries. Ata a critical time it was Reliance mediation with Sonia Gandhi which calmed down YSR’s war on TDP and Ramoji Rao.
Later Ramoji returned the favor by giving a major stake of ETV’s regional channels to Reliance group. Currently there are regular reports coming out that Naidu’s son Lokesh has made preparations to launch a TV channel devoted specifically for TDP and its promotion similar to Jagan’s Sakshi.
At the same time there are reports that Lokesh has decided to skip entering Telugu print because they already have the backing of two media groups like Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy. Now reports are coming in that Lokesh is strongly feeling the need to enter print media in English and if reports are to be believed, then both Lokesh and Reliance group are planning to take over the beleaguered Deccan Chronicle group for better promotion and media support.
