In a fit of drunken rage, and suspecting her fidelity Ranjan Panda of Jagamara in Bhuwaneswar beat up his wife Jasoda , tonsured her head, slashed her private organ with a blade and stabbed her stomach with a tube light and also tried to forcibly stitch her wounds.
There was more torture in store for the 31-year-old woman as mentioned in her FIR that Ranjan forced her to have sex with him on September 27 before she some how with help of family members got medical help and later went to police . But hapless woman says that worst thing was that the Khandagiri police officers refused to accept her FIR and also misbehaved with her . Finaly with intervention of senior officials of Bhuwaneswar, Ranjan has been arrested .
