Well this government officer may be the key for Gujarat CM Narendra Modi in strengthening his political alliance with YSRCP in case Lok Sabha numbers may not add up in favour of the Prime Ministerial candidate for BJP.
Sources say that DK Rao, a Gujarat cadre IAS officer, is all set to be named as the YSR Congress candidate from Guntur or Bapatla Lok Sabha seat. Rao is member secretary in Gujarat State Human Rights Commission and has submitted resignation on December 23, 2013.
Rao's father Sangeetha Rao, is a Congress leader who owned many cinema halls in Andhra Pradesh and is considered close to former CM YSR. Given the fact that he is also a Christian, he reportedly stayed in touch with Jagan from a long time.
Jagan is now doing a guessing game with Congress and BJP as he wants to keep his options open as to which coalition comes to power. While TDP Boss Chandrababu Naidu is now close to Modi, Rao is expected to get Jagan in Modi's favour in case BJP falls short of majority as NDA!
