The leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj reportedly expressed dismay with comments by Parliamentary affairs Minister Kamal Nath that the Telangana statehood bill has been introduced. Sushma questioned whether it has been formally introduced in the Lok Sabha.
She reportedly denied the statements saying that she was indeed present in the house. Sushma Swaraj, while speaking to media said that the entire ruckus was today a grand design of the Congress regarding the issue of MP being expelled from the Congress.
This is for opposing Telangana by pepper spray in the Lok Sabha. She said it is shameful and Congress is entirely responsible for it as it was Congress MPs who clashed and were at blows. Sushma reiterated that it was a part of the design and questioned why the bill was not mentioned in the list of business.
She added that Congress wants to introduce the bill and ensure it is not passed so that it can go ahead for elections in both Seemandhra and Telangana! But the fact is, a lot depends on BJP and its stand towards the Telangana bill so unless their final word comes out nothing will be clear.
