Union minister and senior congress MP Kavuri Sambashiv Rao is likely to quit Congress . Sources in the congress party say that he is mulling joining force with Kiran Kumar Reddy and other MPs if he is given leadership of the new group .
Kavuri told his aides and friends in Delhi and Hyderabad recently that he did not see any hope for congress in AP and that the congress high command had remained indifferent towards him from the beginning. But he says the decision to leave congress is a difficult one after spending almost 50 years in the party. 'They are confident that congress will survive as both Jagan and KCR will merge in the coming days ' he told them.
Kavuri feels that he will quit if is not consulted in the formation of seemandhra state and is ignored even now . He says junios like Panabaka and Killi Kruparani are taken into confidence while he is ignored . Kavuri has been on the black list of congress as he had gone out with Arjun Singh group and returned to congress later . Campaign against Telagnana was a joint decision of all seemandhra MPs and not his alone, he said
