The desire of the Seemandhra and Telangana politicians for separate elections and separate state will be finally fulfilled . Chief Election commissioner says elections to MP and MLA seats in Telangana will be held on April 30 and for Seemandhra seats on May 7th . But the counting for all in Telangana and Seemandhra will be on May 16 .
So what is the design says the opposition leaders .The design is to give the congress enough opportunity to save strength and breath to campaign in both the regions .While some regional parties will get stuck in their own regions, the Congress and BJP will have a field day for another week or ten days of campaign in the trouble state.
So the Election dates were finalized after consultation with the Home Ministry which safely shifted the appointed date to June 2 for formation of the 29th state in an effort to win over the TRS and KCR who had threatened to not merge and contest on his own without alliance if Congress did not want.
In all over country there were 81.4 crore voters including 10 crore new voters to vote in 8.3 lakh polling booths and the MP candidates could spend Rs.70 lakhs towards publicity and campaign.
