OMG: Six hundred crucial revenue and 1350 important Irrigation project files have been destroyed in the secretariat with connivance of senior officials and also the politicians .
The Governor Narasimhan probe last two days has revealed that these files pertained to payments made to contractors and also land grants given to various parties in the last three years of Kiran Govt.These facts surfaced following the order by the Governor office to keep three copies of each files to smoothen the bifurcation process.
We were aghast at what ever happened in the Revenue department in L block in the last one week of February after Kiran resigned there was intense activity in many of the secretariat blocks . Since Telangana NGO's had kept a strict vigil and watch on late night activities in the secretariat all the destroyed files were removed during broad day light in the L block during last week end .
The Governor office has directed CS to probe all such happenings and ensure that not single document is removed .All IAS senior secretaries were advised to not take any file to their homes and every document should be listed , catagologued and kept in Secretariat only .A separate archive for master files has been created and all such crucial files from the SPD( special Projects Division) located in the cellar of C Block are being moved to this archive for last mile scrutiny before bifurcation process began.
