Srikakulam has 10 Assembly Constituencies. TDP has planned to field 3 women candidates out of 10 Segments. All these three comes under Srikakulam MP Segment. Palasa, Srikakulam and Rajam (SC) will goes to Women candidates. TDP President has discussed with all seniors in the district on this. TDP MP Candidate Kijarapu RamMohan Naidu is already ahead of other political parties in campaign.
CBN is on discussions to finalize its candidates for 7 Assembly Segments under Srikakulam. In Srikakulam first preference goes to Gandra AppalaSuryaNarayana family. Gandra sons are in US. They are not in a position to contest for Assembly. His wife Lakshmi Devi will be the candidate for the Segment.TDP has no option in Rajam (SC) other than Ex-Speaker Prathiba Bharathi. Prathibha has to face Minister Kondru Murali again in coming elections.
Coming to Palasa, former leader Gowthu ShyamSundar Sivaji has very good popularity in the district. Being a leader of non-Congress and BC Community, Sivaji has close relations with the people in the district. CBN has discussed with Sivaji and ask him to suggest one name from the family for Palasa ticket. Reportedly, family members discussed among themselves and forward Sivaji eldest daughter Sirisha name to CBN. Sirisha candidature is welcomed by party cadre. These three women candidates have to field from TDP for general elections from Srikakulam district.
