An NDTV's opinion poll has predicted that the Telangana Rasthra Samiti and its chief K Chandrasekhar Rao are all set to win 11 of the 17 parliament seats in the Telagnana state yet to be born on June 2. The Congress is likely to get five seats while the TDP and BJP will be a wipe out . KCR, , recently rejected an overture by the Congress for a merger but offered only an alliance. The Congress had reportedly rejected KCR's demand to be made chief minister of the new state during the negotiations for a merger. He was also irked by the fact that the new state will not be formally founded till after the national election. The Congress pushed the proposal for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh as vote-bait, hoping to reap a rich harvest in the Telangana region in the national election. But is now in the back seat feeling the punch of KCR rejection to be a puppet in congress domain led by Sonia Gandhi. If KCR and the Congress do agree on a pre-poll partnership, both should sweep the region, according to the opinion poll. But the writing on the wall is clear to both the TDP and the YSRC that they have no room in Telagnana .Secondly the fence sitters like the MIM, BJP and also the left parties also have no stake in the Telangana as they were not keen to be part of the main players but also fence sitters.
