The YSRCP has lodged a complaint with Election Commission against TDP candidate Ch Malla Reddy complaining that the principal of an engineering college run by him is sending text messages to parents and students asking them to vote for Malla Reddy. Hundreds of students studying in the college have received the SMS.
One of the parents brought this to YSRCP notice. In the complaint to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal, YSRCP said, “The principal is sending SMS requesting parents of the students to vote for him. This amounts to the election violation committed by the candidate and attracts the provisions of Section 107 of IPC and section 123 of RP Act (corrupt practices).”
Meanwhile, Malla Reddy did not talk about the complaint that was filed against him Election Commision. This can be revenge on Malla Reddy by the YSRCP so as to let him down in the constituency.
