The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has decided to take disciplinary action against 17 rebels in 15 constituencies where the party has fielded its candidates. The party is now all set to take charge on the rebel candidates because the
The party has spotted one rebel each in Adilabad, Bellampally, Ramagundam, Huzurabad, Korutla, Jukkal, Yakhutpura and Ibrahimpatnam and two each in Janagaon and Narayanpet constituencies. The rebels had refused to follow the party’s dictates to withdraw from the fray. Disciplinary action is being considered against them since they did not heed to the party’s fiat.
They are likely to be expelled from the party at its disciplinary committee meeting. Chairman of the disciplinary committee M. Kodanda Reddy discussed the issue with TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah. They thought to take strict action on all 17 rebels if they stay stubborn.
