The TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu has officially announced recently at a rally in Gajapathinagaram, Vizianagram district that he is calling off the alliance with the saffron party in Seemandhra region.
Initially BJP asked for 6 Lok Sabha seats and 25 Assembly seats in the region but later settled 5 and 15 respectively which was again curtailed down to 14 Assembly seats. But compared to Telangana, TDP is much stronger now in Seemandhra which has triggered massive revolt.
Also TDP started realizing that it may hand over these 14 seats including the four Lok sabha seats and all the assembly seats under these 4 Lok Sabha segments in a platter to Jagan and also RSS intervention to give these seats to its cadre didn’t go well with Naidu.
With Naidu making this official sources say that though this may raise fingers again on his credibility issue, nevertheless he may have done the right thing because failing which there would have been a blame game in case TDP loses and due to Jagan fear Naidu corrected his mistake soon.
