The TRS has now planned another plan to cheat the farmers. The TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao promised to waive farm loans up to Rs 1 lakh if his party comes to power in Telangana. KCR said if elected the Chief Minister of the soon-to-be formed state, the first thing he would do was to write off farm loans to provide relief to agriculturists. "I will do my first signature on the file related to waiver of (up to) Rs 1 lakh loan to the farmers of Telangana." KCR was speaking at a gathering at Husnabad town in the district. The former Union Minister, in his 30-minute speech, launched an attack on Congress, saying the party was largely missing during the Telangana statehood movement. Congress, while finalising the Telangana Bill, did not pay heed to certain demands of TRS, he said, and asked voters to give his party a clear majority to allow implementation of its programmes and policies. He termed the alliance between TDP and BJP in Andhra Pradesh as a "conspiracy". The TRS president promised to provide 12 per cent reservation for tribals in jobs and educational institutes and said the weaker sections would live with self-respect in Telangana. Rao said the dreams of Telangana people would be fulfilled if his party won all the 17 Lok Sabha seats in the region, which will attain statehood on June 2. Rao was here to campaign for TRS candidates Vodithela Satish Kumar (Husnabad Assembly constituency) and Vinod Kumar (Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat). Simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha polls will be held in Telangana on April 30.
