Will TRS chief KCR meet the same fate as that of Uttar Pradesh leaders Azam Khan and Amit Shah, both of whom were reportedly banned from addressing public meetings by the Election Commission for violation of the election model code of conduct. Sources say that with a complaint filed by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) over alleged hate speeches by KCR, the Election Commission reportedly directed its district officials to present the video footage of his speeches at public meetings. The meetings took place in Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Nalgonda for the last few weeks. KCR had termed both TDP and YSCRP as Andhra parties and urged the people of Telangana to send them out of the region. The speech was recorded by EC in the form of video where he allegedly instigated the Telangana people against the Andhras. Sources say that KCR may face serious action, including restriction on public meetings and rallies, just like how it was done in case of Azam Khan and Amit Shah.
