With separate Telangana agitation becoming a success in the form of the long pending demand for statehood, TRS chief KCR who hasn’t dared to contest once again in Mahabubnagar has come back to Medak parliamentary constituency for 2014 general elections.
He is also contesting for the Assembly from Gajwel in the same district. Medak is currently represented by TRS MP Vijayashanti who joined the Congress party after the passage of the Telangana Bill in Parliament.
With BJP’s Narendranath on one side and Vijayashanthi on other side, the going was initially tough for KCR but with Sonia reportedly fielding a novice this time, KCR has won the indirect support of Congress.
Medak, Siddipet, Dubbaka, Narsapur, Gajwel, Patancheru and Sangareddy constituencies come under Medak Lok Sabha and KCR’s nephew Harish Rao is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that this indeed becomes a safe zone for KCR.
