BJP surprised everyone in Telangana by the victory of Mahabubnagar Assembly Segment in 2012 bye-elections. TRS received rude shock from BJP in this election. TRS Yennam Srinivasa Reddy joined in BJP and won the election over TRS Muslim Candidate Ibrahim. Yennam is standing on BJP Ticket again in this election. TRS has changed its nominee and creates unnecessary problems in Mahabubunagar Segment.
Telangana Gazetted Employees Co-Chairman Srinivas Gowd is the candidate for TRS and KCR denied giving Ticket to Ibrahim. Angered Ibrahim joined in Congress and fails to get Congress ticket also. He is contesting in this election aimed to defeat Srinivas Gowd. Obedullah Kothwal is the candidate of Congress. There are many corruption allegations against him when he was worked as Municipal Chairman. Congress is mainly banked on Muslim Minority Votes. District NGOs are getting anger on Congress for denying ticket to District JAC Chairman Rajender Reddy. Muslim Minorities are anger on both Congress and TRS for not giving the ticket to Ibrahim.
TRS has received negative feedback on development activities even KCR was served as Parliament Member from Mahabubnagar. It’s sure on splitting of Minority votes between Ibrahim and Congress. All these factors help BJP to win again in this segment. Strong TDP cadre, Modi and Sushma meetings are added advantage for Yennam.
