Power star Pawan Kalyan’s party Jana Sena has finally stepped back and adhered to its earlier decision not to contest polls after announcing on Wednesday that it would field candidates for seven Lok Sabha seats. Sources say that TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu’s hardline stance has reportedly worked, and the BJP also finally persuaded the actor to pull back. At one point, it was believed Pawan would create a major twist in the political situation in AP but not anymore. Pawan reportedly planned that Jana Sena should enter the fray but with TDP getting firm on denying industrialist Potluri Vara Prasad, a friend of Pawan Kalyan, a ticket to contest, Pawan had to back off. Sources say that BJP leaders assured giving a Rajya Sabha seat to PVP while he has agreed to campaign full throttle for BJP soon in other regions too. This denial of Vijayawada ticket also restored some of Babu’s credibility, say analysts!
