Embarking on new initiative for connecting with the people of both the states, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have launched an interesting campaign. It is called the `Missed Call' volunteer campaign. The objective is to gain more reach among the masses. This is for the purpose of making the BJP candidate Narendra Modi the Prime Minister and the TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. This kind of strategy is being used for the first time by any political party. BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar and TDP Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary reportedly announced this at a joint press conference at NTR Bhavan where they said that public can give a missed call to the number 9014590145. For connecting with the NDA, people can now give only a missed call and once the number gets registered, the caller will be getting an automated message of `Thanks’ which will be acknowledgement SMS while the caller would asked if they wish to become a volunteer. They will be given publicity related work to highlight NDA’s achievements.
