The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Raghuveera Reddy said that the Telugu Desam Party and YSRCP leaders are making a business out of politics. At a press meet held in Guntur city, he alleged that Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu had sold party’s Assembly and Lok Sabha tickets to those leaders who quit the Congress and joined the Telugu Desam Party recently. The PCC president said that CBN has double standards. “In Telangana, CBN says he had given a letter of consent in favour of the Telangana state, while in Andhra Pradesh he says that the Telugu Desam Party will develop the residuary state and do justice to the people,” the APCC chief said. Mr Raghuveera Reddy also questioned the YSRCP’s stand on Telangana. He alleged that the YSRCP had passed a resolution in support of the Telangana state and given a letter in favour of the Telangana state to the Centre, but later changed its stand and supported a united AP. The APCC chief demanded that YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should make his stand clear whether he would support a Congress-led coalition or a BJP-led coalition at the Centre after the elections. Mr Raghuveera Reddy said the Congress had given 95 Assembly seats to the SCs, STs, BCs, and minorities. He promised that the Congress would construct the Polavaram dam and give nine hours of power to farmers and implement various welfare schemes. S.K Waheed, the Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Guntur, former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana and DCC president Makkena Mallikarjuna were also present at the press meet.
