The Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal is leading in a magazine’s readers poll of 100 Most Influential People in the world with the highest percentage of ‘yes’ votes, in the list follows BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and American singer Katy Perry. Indian politicians are dominating the list during election season. As of now, as many 3,168,308 people had cast a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ vote for Mr. Kejriwal, while more than 5,075,588 had voted for Mr. Modi. Till now, Mr. Kejriwal has received 71.5 per cent ‘yes’ and 28.5 ‘no’ votes. Mr. Modi had a greater percentage of ‘no’ votes than any other influential personalities in the running, beating out both Ms. Perry and Justin Bieber for naysayers. Mr. Modi has received 49.7 ‘yes’ and 50.3 per cent ‘no’ votes. Each year, this magazine publishes an editor-curated list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Before the issue comes out, the magazine people runs an online poll where readers can cast their vote for where politicians, actors, musicians and athletes should rank on the list. The top of the poll has otherwise been dominated by the entertainment industry figures. After Mr. Kejriwal and Mr. Modi, Egyptian military commander Abdul Fattah al-Sissi was the next world figure on the list. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, with 96,070 reactions, is ranked 40th on the list.
