The polling in Seemandhra was completed and many voters especially the young ones have shown special interest in voting in the wake of state bifurcation. Violence erupted in many places of Rayalaseema and some places of Southern Coastal Andhra due to the over enthusiasm of YSR Congress party. After election completes Former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal spoke to media and he once again predicted victory for Telugu Desam Party in the region. Speaking to media persons here, Rajagopal said the TDP would win majority of seats to form the government in the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh. He said the voter turnout of more than 70 per cent was a clear indication that the TDP-BJP combine was all set to form the next government. Though he is reluctant to give number of seats TDP is going to win, Lagadapati said the increase in poll percentage is a sign that the tide is in favour of TDP.Though it is too early to predict the exact outcome, sources said TDP might end up with anywhere between 95-120 Assembly seats, while the YSRCPis likely to get just around 50 seats. It may be mentioned that the Election Commission of India had served a notice to Rajagopal for his earlier prediction wherein he stated that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and TDP would form governments in Telangana and Seemandhra regions respectively.
