The Congress party has committed suicide in the Seemandhra political race. The Congress has left the field to the YSRCP and the TDP in Seemandhra. The Congress has a fear from the beginning that it would lose the vote bank of Seemandhra people and doubted if it would even find representation in the Assembly of the new state that is formed,the AP. The YSRCP and the TDP have sidelined the Congress and fought each other. After the decision on state bifurcation, the Congress fate has changed in both the regions. The Congress high command has never expected the party to win in Seemandhra. But it has a lot of expectations in Telangana. The only relief for the Congress in Telangana is that its main rival the TRS is also not confident of getting a full majority to form the government on its own. Therefore if Congress will form the new government alone in Telangana that would be the 8th wonder of the world. When we keenly look into the Congress situation in Seemandhra region,according to few APCC leaders, in almost seven Assembly segments the Congress candidates have given a tough fight. There were many problems that the national party faced in the elections especially in Seemandhra. The situation of Congress seemed to be critical. The APCC wants at least to win one or two seats for representation in the new Assembly. But the other Congress candidates were not even visible. Insome polling booths, the Congress did not even have polling agents. Even in the same way in Telangana also the Congress leaders did not utilise the golden opportunity given by the party after granting the bifurcation bill. Even being in power at the Centre and announcing the Telangana state having fulfilled a 60-year-old dream of the Telangana people, the Congress leaders failed to win the hearts of the people and cash them into votes.
