Even after granting statehood to Telangana, Congress party only won 22 of the 119 Assembly seats in the Telangana region and just 2 MP seats out of 17 seats in Lok Sabha. This has reportedly fired up the Congress head Sonia Gandhi.
Sources say that prominent leaders of T-Congress like V Hanumantha Rao, Madhu Yashki, Ponnam Prabhakar and a host of other leaders even fear to answer calls from Delhi leadership. It is heard that they were the ones who gave confidence to Sonia about Congress win in Telangana.
Sonia has reportedly vented out her ire at national congress leaders saying that the party has committed a big mistake in moving forward single handedly on Telangana. She was led to believe by the Telangana congress leaders that victory is theirs.
Sonia seems to have said that the party has taken the assurance given by all the so-called popular leaders that if statehood is granted, they would come and drop KCR at her feet and also get 15 MP seats. Sonia is now blasting them asking where are the 15 MP seats?
