The two new states for Telugu people, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, is now a reality in another eight days time and there is both anxiety and celebration over this news. But there is the main challenge of infrastructure and resource division.
At the same time, there were speculations whether there would be roaming charges in case a Telangana number is used in Seemandhra and vice versa and also whether any call to their close ones in other state would be treated as STD.
Finally the telecom companies have reportedly given clarity that there is no scope for roaming or treating calls as inter-state calls because all telecom companies hold license for AP circle till 2014.
Now if they want to make it two circles, then it will be only after 2014 and anyway there is a hope that TRAI will be soon implementing ‘One Nation-One tariff’ soon thereby taking away the concept of STD permanently.
