It looks like AP CM elect Chandrababu Naidu of the TDP is ready to go for any extent to make sure that his wishes for the new state are fulfilled. It is in this regard that Naidu had eyed NDA coming to power and steered towards BJP.
This is inspite of heavy resistance from his party cadre and now he wants to utilize it to maximum extent. Recently BJP’s national spokesperson Nirmala Seetaraman was inducted into Modi’s cabinet as Minister of state for Commerce.
She has been endowed with independent charge and for those who are not aware, she is the wife of United AP champion, Parakala Prabhakar. Recently due to the sudden death of Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy, a seat for Rajya Sabha has fallen vacant in AP quota.
Sources say that BJP leadership has requested Babu to give this seat to them so that they can send Nirmala, who has her roots now in Seemandhra to Rajya Sabha and Babu has readily agreed to sacrifice one seat which will be won now by TDP!
