Since the state starts its journey with deficit budget, Andhra Pradesh Government took all steps to reduce unwanted expenditure. AP Government is looking for addition revenue for the state beside to reduction of the unnecessary expenditure. Chief Minister CBN has gave indications that Government would going to tough on economic measures and told to his Ministers and Head of the Departments indirectly on Saturday. CBN is confidently believed unless Government controls unwanted expenditure, it’s not possible to put the state on right track. Reportedly, CBN asked Finance Minister Yenamala to prepare detailed report on reduction of unnecessary expenditure. That helps the state to reduce financial burden on the state exchequer. As per the buzz, that AP Government wants Ministers to avoid travel by air. If it becomes inevitable in air travel Government asked them to travel in economy class. Head of the Departments can also fly on economy class if it’s necessary to attend the meetings at Centre. Yenamala report also recommended ministers not to conduct review meetings in Star Hotels. Though there are no facilities available in Secretariat, review meetings should be held in Secretariat only. AP Government also in thought of putting on holds all nominated posts in Corporations and Boards for some time.
