The roads and buildings (R&B) department, Hyderabad wing has reportedly rejected attending the works which falls under neighboring Andhra Pradesh government. R&B department currently has only one office at Hyderabad.
This is for the purpose of government works and maintaining the government guesthouses in the city. After AP bifurcation, the Hyderabad R&B wing was given to Telangana while the Andhra Pradesh government reportedly has only the chief engineer in Hyderabad.
The AP R&B department officials reportedly asked their counterparts in Hyderabad to ensue the maintenance of the Lake View guest house which was given to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu as camp office.
They also reportedly asked Hyderabad wing to prepare the design for AP Chief Minister’s office at Secretariat. But, the Hyderabad wing has reportedly turned down the request of AP saying that cannot attend the AP government’s tasks since they were allotted to Telangana. AP officials are upset that since Hyderabad is common capital for both states for a period of ten years the R&B officials of Hyderabad should honor their request.
