Bansuwada MLA and currently minister for Agriculture in Telangana government, Pocharam Srinivas reddy was once a close confidant of TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu. After 2009 polls, once Telangana movement picked up, he immediately left TDP.
And then he joined hands with KCR and was also elected during by polls and recent elections with good majority. During his second tenure after 1999, it is widely known how Chandrababu propagated the idea of drip irrigation using Israeli technology in his home constituency of Kuppam.
Later it is also a fact that it did not fetch any results and Naidu was once again admonished for his fascination about everything foreign. Now looks like T-Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is once again getting fascinated about this.
It is heard that an Israeli team met him recently and he is reportedly talking only about implementing such a policy widely in Telangana, though past experience says something else. His colleagues in TRS seem to be joking that Pocharam is still following his former Guru blindly.
