The Andhra Pradesh Irrigation minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has reportedly issued a stern warning to Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao against mudslinging at AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He reportedly accused Telangana CM of instigating people against Andhra Pradesh for political gains. The minister reportedly said that news concerning some facts do not come out that openly and is given least prominence. Uma reportedly said that the state of Telangana benefited by Rs 237 crore by means of producing 39.5 million MW of power when drinking water was released to Andhra Pradesh from Nagarjunasagar. He also reiterated that KCR had accepted all terms and conditions when state was bifurcated but is now hell bent on creating differences between the two states regarding water, land and employees. The minister also added that of the 7.1 tmc ft water released from the Nagarjunasagar, only 4.10 tmc ft reached Prakasam Barrage so far.
