In the last week of November, when KCR sat on a temporary fast and quit it after token fast in Khammam jail, Telangana witnessed a turning point when students in Osmania University took out a huge rally denouncing KCR.
Realizing that he can no longer do only token agitations for Telangana and also due to a fear that students may take movement in their hands at the cost of his political career, KCR resumed fast even to the extent of reaching near death.
The rest is history with students of OU and with their inspiration, students all over Telangana coming forward and standing as a back bone for TRS to take agitation forward and this was evident in rich political dividends for TRS which was expected to be wiped out as recent as July 2009.
But now as they are agitating against KCR’s decision to regularize contract employees at thee cost of their jobs, they are being labeled as acting with Centre’s indirect backing to trouble TRS party. This has shocked the students. Well it looks like the bonhomie is over.
