The time has come for yet another prime property in Hyderabad to be taken over by KCR and Co. The famous DBR Mills land which was leased by Hyderabad Nizam for 99 years for Dewan Raja Bahadur is all set to be acquired by Telangana government.
The prime land located at Lower tank bund is reportedly spread over an area of 26 acres and is worth Rs. 1000 crores, which TRS government plans to auction to raise funds for farm loan waiver.
According to reports, the land is in dispute with some big encroachers creating false documents but now that its lease has expired, the government is planning to acquire few bits of the land. It has to be seen how this process is going to be.
The DBR mills was one of Hyderabad’s landmarks for more than 80 years till 1980s with hundreds of employees working at the mills but later it incurred losses and for last two decades, it has been shut completely!
