If the Reddys from Rayalaseema were able to rule the united Andhra Pradesh for a long time, then it was only possible with cooperation from Reddys of Telangana, so that community can enjoy power.
But now with the division, the community has more or less lost its bargaining power too with Velamas emerging to the fore in Telangana while Kammas are back in their heartland. Unless Congress revives strongly here and Jagan withstands Babu, things cannot change.
If either of that happens then there is a possibility that Reddys can come back at least in one state or both. But this may be too early to predict political winds and at the same time, there is an interesting discussion as to whether Reddys will provide their backing for Hyderabad as a union territory as and when any such move happens.
With a UT, there are reasons for the community to at least be secure in a city like Hyderabad where they enjoy prime properties and business. Only time can tell whether they would back such a proposal or not.
