AP Chief Minister CBN gave indications that Vijayawada would become Capital of the state. Last week, he took the decision to shift all Head Offices of the departments temporarily to Vijayawada in coming 6 months. It seems that AP Government could not wait even 6 months to move to temporary capital. Municipal Minister P. Narayana hopes that some Government offices would shift to Vijayawada within 3 months.
Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu gave clarity to the officials and leaders on some issues during his last week visit. Ministers like Devineni, Kamineni, Siddha and Kollu have started their offices in Vijayawada. Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha is also decided to shift to Vijayawada. P. Narayana was visited MEDHA and LAILA towers in Vijayawada and plans to transfer some important departments to Vijayawada. Central Government gave its approval for starting Metro rail among Vijayawada, Guntur and Denali. VUDA is in preparation of reports of development activities.
AAI Chairman visited Gannavaram airport and agreed for the expansion of the Airport. It’s inevitable for the government to construct Machilipatnam Port for generating more revenue. CBN has announced to outer ring road around 186 KMs under VGTM area. AIIMS and Agriculture University are expected to establish near Managalagiri. AP DGP office also will exist in Mangalagiri around 43.68 acres.
