Socio-economic data of nearly four crore population of Telangana was gathered on Tuesday under the intensive household survey. Nearly four lakh government employees collected the details in door-to-door survey, which ended at 7pm in the districts.Terming the survey "historic" and a "super hit", Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao thanked the people for their tremendous response in the survey
The chief minister said the massive response of the people to the survey was a slap in the face of the opposition and those who were creating apprehensions and controversies. Surprisingly KCR mentioned about Jr NTR an his wife who took part in the survey. He said that Jr NTR might be from Andhra, but he and his family members happily submitted details to the concerned officials.
KCR said the data would help the government in identifying the real beneficiaries of various welfare schemes, weeding out the bogus ones and also in better planning of its programmes to meet the requirement of the population.The Chief Minister advised the Chief Ministers of other States to conduct similar surveys.
