The grand entry of BJP’s newly elected national chief Amit Shah is being awaited with anxiety by some and exuberating mood by BJP cadres in the state of Telangana. Amit Shah is considered a very strong force in the BJP with a good clout in centre.
He was instrumental in Modi’s victory and is also a key player who raised BJP’s stakes from just 10 Lok Sabha seats to 71 in recent elections is expected to weave his charm and repeat the UP experiment in Telangana, say sources.
Ostensibly, his first target is Medak Lok Sabha, which even TRS is considering prestigious, as it is the ruling party now while TDP may have no other option to support BJP while Congress would have to at least retain its deposit and secure decent votes.
The BJP cadre and leaders in TS are upbeat that with Amit bhai’s help they can finally realize their dream of becoming a force to reckon with even in terms of seats and vote share and not just sloganeering in Telangana. His first promise may be that if people ensure victory of BJP candidate in Medak, then the MP would be made a central minister.
